1. Overview

Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy explains how the Al Quran & Dua App handles user information, account sign-in, Firebase services, notifications, and local app data.

2. Permissions Requested

This app may request the following permissions:

POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To show reminders, app messages, and Quran-related notifications.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK: To allow Quran audio playback while the app is minimized.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC: To support background synchronization and downloadable content.
Location: To calculate prayer times and Qibla direction when those features are used.
Storage or media access: To save downloaded Quran audio or other app content for offline use, where required by Android.

3. Account and Sign-In Data

The app supports Google Sign-In with Firebase Authentication. When you sign in, Firebase Authentication may process your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile information provided by Google.

Some synchronization features may also create an anonymous Firebase Authentication account if no Google account is signed in.

4. Data Stored Locally

The app may store the following data locally on your device:

Bookmarks, read history, search history, and app settings.
Downloaded Quran audio, translations, tafsir, word-by-word files, Mushaf pages, and other offline content.
Notification or message history received through Firebase Cloud Messaging.
Firebase Cloud Messaging token state used for push notifications.

5. Data Stored in Firebase

The app may store or process the following data through Firebase services:

Firebase Authentication: Google Sign-In or anonymous authentication identifiers.
Cloud Firestore: Synced bookmarks, user notification records, and Firebase Cloud Messaging token information.
Firebase Cloud Messaging: Device token used to deliver notifications.
Device information: Device model and Android build fingerprint may be stored with FCM token records.
Firebase Analytics: App usage diagnostics and events.
Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reports and diagnostic information used to improve app stability.

6. Third-Party Services

The app uses Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics. Data handled by these services is processed according to Google's and Firebase's applicable terms and policies.

The app does not sell user data.

7. Data Security

Data transmitted to Google Firebase services is encrypted in transit using secure network connections. Local data remains on your device unless you use a feature that syncs data or communicates with Firebase or other app services.

8. Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your app account and associated app data from inside the app by opening Settings > Account & Data > Delete account & data.

When deletion is requested, the app attempts to delete the Firebase Authentication account, synced bookmarks, user notification records, FCM token records, and local user-specific data such as bookmarks, read history, search history, and notification history.

9. Data Retention

Account-linked Firebase records are deleted when you request account deletion where technically possible. Some data may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or records managed by another provider, such as Google Play purchase records.

Aggregated Firebase Analytics data or Crashlytics diagnostics that are not directly linked to an app account may remain according to Firebase retention settings.

10. Children’s Privacy

The app is designed for a general audience. Account sign-in and Firebase-powered features should be used with appropriate consent where required by law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted within the app or on this page, with an updated effective date.
